Directions to Hale O Naia:
From
Hilo, take Hwy 11 South,towards Keaau. Go past Keaau on Hwy 130
towards Pahoa. After just passing Pahoa, at the light, go left
on Hwy 132. Go past Lava Tree State Monument and veer left at
the fork in the road. Keep going until you get to the stop sign.
Turn Right on Hwy 137 then take the first paved left.("Private
roads use at your own risk" sign at the entrance). Go to
the gate and use the call box to call for Sally to open the
gate.(Instructions
are on the box.) When gate opens, take the first right (Alapai
Pt) and follow around the cove, bearing left. Hale O Naia is located
on the left side almost to the end. There is a gate and sign at
the driveway.
